CASCO Civil's
History
E. George Cassis, P.E. established CASSIS Associates, Inc., in Litchfield, IL. As a civil engineer, Mr. Cassis started CASSIS as a civil and structural engineering firm. These services extended to architectural work for commercial and industrial clients within a year of the firm’s inception. Hereafter, more services expanded to cover site selection, mechanical and electrical work, industrial engineering, materials handling, and construction management.
CASCO Civil is a distinguished civil engineering firm, that stands out for its innovative and sustainable solutions across a spectrum of projects. With a team of seasoned professionals, CASCO Civil specializes in site development, roadway design, landscape architecture, and seamlessly integrating waterfront design. The civil engineering firm’s commitment to green infrastructure design, incorporating permeable pavements and sustainable stormwater management, underscores its dedication to environmental responsibility. CASCO Civil’s expertise extends beyond traditional civil engineering boundaries, positioning them as leaders in creating resilient and aesthetically pleasing outdoor spaces.
CASSIS Associates, later rebranded to CASCO Corporation, expanded significantly throughout the 80s and 90s to include many national retailers like Toys ‘R’ Us, The Home Depot, Circuit City, and many more. With that work came associated civil engineering projects across the United States. During this time, CASCO performed thousands of feasibility studies and site investigative reports, assisting companies with their site analysis and entitlements. Eventually, CASCO began site development coordination for national retailers and developers, managing their due diligence investigations, approvals, and permitting processes.
The new leadership of CASCO Civil was hired to strengthen their civil engineering services in the St. Louis region, while still serving national developers.
